The Lobo Lab is committed to maintaining and promoting a diverse and inclusive environment. The lab as whole and as individuals participate in actionable change to improve diversity and inclusion and we engage in anti-racism practices. We have implemented lab meetings devoted to discussing these issues and how we can support and promote BIPOC, URM, and other diverse and underrepresented scientists, trainees, and staff. Diversity is critical for  multi-perspectives, opinions, and creative paths forward in scientific discovery. We are better scientists and we do better science when we include and listen to the perspectives of individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences.
